Four Penguins Invited to Team Canada’s Olympic Camp, Jagr to join New Jersey

Now that it is official that NHL players will be able to play in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, teams are starting to invite players to their Olympic camps. Team Canada announced today that four players from the Pittsburgh Penguins were invited to the camp. They are:

C Sidney Crosby (Played in 2010)

LW Chris Kunitz  (No Olympic experience)

RW James Neal (No Olympic experience)

D Kris Letang (No Olympic Experience)

Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, who made the team last year, was not invited this year. To view the full roster, click here. Center Evgeni Malkin was invited to Team Russia’s camp and will play for them in February unless he gets injured.


It has been widely reported today that forward Jaromir Jagr will be joining the New Jersey Devils on a one-year deal. The amount of money has not been announced just yet.
