James Neal Gets Five Game Suspension For Hit on Brad Marchand

The Pittsburgh Penguins usual starting lineup continues to disappear by the game, it seems. While the team is already dealing with injuries to key players, the Penguins will have to do without another one for the next five games. Forward James Neal has been suspended for five games by the NHL for his hit on Boston’s Brad Marchand on Saturday night.  Neal’s knee collided with Marchand’s head on the play. The NHL Department of Player Safety held a phone hearing with Neal earlier today and released their explanation of the hit in this video:
