The Bobby Farnham era in Pittsburgh is over. Ray Shero, who originally brought Farnham into the Penguins organization as an undrafted free-agent, claimed him off waivers today, which means Farnham will head to the New Jersey Devils. New Jersey was the one team who would consider claiming Farnham and they did just that. The 26-year-old forward played in three games this season with the Penguins, recording zero points and five penalty minutes. In fourteen career NHL games, Farnham still has yet to record his first NHL point. Farnham, who doesn’t have much time left to prove himself in the NHL, will have a much better chance to play in the NHL with New Jersey than he did with Pittsburgh.
