With only 6 days left until the NHL Draft, Penguins general manager Ray Shero has already started to make moves. Shero announced today that the Penguins traded defenseman Alex Grant to the Anaheim Ducks for forward Harry Zolnierczyk. Zolnierczyk, 25, has played in 44 NHL games (all with the Philadelphia Flyers) in his career and has recorded 7 points. Grant, 24, was drafted by Pittsburgh in the fourth round of the 2007 NHL Draft, but has not made his NHL debut yet. He registered 20 points in 46 games this past season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Both players are restricted free agents. If Pittsburgh signs Zolnierczyk, he will be used primarily as a depth forward with speed. Grant will get a better opportunity with Anaheim if he signs with the Ducks.
