It’s July and you know that means: it’s time for prospects from the Pittsburgh Penguins to gather for the annual Prospect Development Camp at CONSOL Energy Center. This year’s camp will be held from July 15th until July 19th in Pittsburgh. As has been the case the past couple years, fans will be able to attend a scrimmage on July 19th at 3:00 PM. Admission and parking around the arena will be free. Forward Kasperi Kapanen, Pittsburgh’s first-round pick in 2014, will participate in the camp along with goaltender Tristan Jarry, who was selected by the Penguins in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft. Top prospect Derrick Pouliot will be at camp, but will not be able to skate as a result of his recent shoulder surgery. John Hynes, Alain Nasreddine and Mike Buckley (goaltender development coach) will be in charge of the one-ice activities while Tom Fitzgerald, Bill Guerin, Mike Kadar and Joe Lorincz (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton strength and conditioning coach) will be in control of the off-ice activities. A full roster will be released soon.
