While it’s only mid-July and things and can change fast, the Pittsburgh Penguins added a candidate for their non-existent fourth-line today. Forward Bobby Farnham signed a one-year deal worth $575,000 at the NHL level. It is a two-way deal so there is a possibility that Farnham will end up in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton again. He tied career highs in the AHL last season with 7 goals and 7 assists for a total of 14 points. The 26-year-old will compete for one of two or three openings on the fourth line in Pittsburgh’s training camp. Beau Bennett is the only other restricted free agent that still needs signed.
