Another round of back to back matchups is in store for the Pittsburgh Penguins (26-9-5, 57 points) this evening as they face off against the Senators (21-14-4, 46 points) at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa. You can watch every trip to the penalty box beginning at 7:30 p.m. on ROOT Sports.
Evgeni Malkin has played 40 games this season and owns 17 goals and 27 assists for a total of 44 points. The 30-year-old center is on pace to claim 90 points which would be his highest total since the 2011-2012 campaign.

Ottawa has enjoyed a three-day break after their 5-3 victory at home Sunday over the Edmonton Oilers. Five different players each contributed a goal for the red, black, gold, and white while goalie Mike Condon had 35 saves.
Tonight is the second contest between these two Eastern Conference combatants. The first meeting was Monday, Dec. 5 at PPG Paints Arena with the Penguins outscoring the Senators 8-5. Right-wing Bryan Rust recorded a hat trick plus one assist for a total of four points against Ottawa.
The calculating crews at the Bovada and Intertops online sportsbooks put the Black and Gold -1.5 for tonight’s puck drop with the over/under set at 5.5. I am going with a 3-2 victory for the Pens.
