Steve MacIntyre Claimed Off Waivers by Edmonton, Bobby Farnham Re-Assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

Forward Steve MacIntyre is heading back to Edmonton, where his NHL career began. The enforcer was claimed off waivers today by the Oilers after the Penguins put him on the waiver wire yesterday. If he cleared, he would have reported to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. However, that will not be happening. The Oilers felt they needed an enforcer after losing Sam Gagner indefinitely with a broken jaw after Vancouver’s Zack Kassian’s stick hit him there. In 91 NHL games, MacIntyre has recorded 2 goals, 2 assists and 175 penalty minutes.

Also, former Penguins forward Brenden Morrow found a new home today. He signed a one-year deal worth $1.5 million with the St. Louis Blues.

In other news, the Penguins re-assigned forward Bobby Farnham to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, which brings their training camp roster to 34 players. Here is the updated roster:
