The Pittsburgh Penguins have found another forward to plug in to their lineup. It was announced today that the team claimed 23-year old forward Zach Boychuk off waivers from the Carolina Hurricanes. Boychuk, who was drafted by Carolina 14th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, has played in 73 NHL games so far in his young career. He has notched 7 goals and 11 assists. Boychuk led the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL in goals (16) and points (32) before the NHL lockout ended. He does have some offensive upside, versatility, and brings some more grit to the Penguins lineup.
