Ray Shero kept the re-up’s coming Thursday morning, signing Chris Kunitz to a three-year extension. Kunitz’s new contract will have a cap hit of just $3.85 million, which is an increase of $125,000 from his previous deal with Pittsburgh.
Kunitz is coming off a career season. He was on pace for 89 points in a full 82 game season. His previous high in a full season was 60 points. Kunitz has 91 regular season goals and 120 assists as a member of the Penguins.
