A Day At The Rush

-If you are a current student in high school or college, you may or may not have heard about the Penguins Student Rush program. With $25 cash and some free time, students can get a great deal. I took full advantage of the program Tuesday night for the game against the Buffalo Sabres. I wanted to share some thoughts and pictures from the night to show how great this program really is.

-Since it was Spring Break for some colleges, a lot of students were at the Consol Energy Center early to take advantage of the nice weather in Pittsburgh. We got in line around 2:15 PM and waited outside approximately three and a half hours. Of course, it was all worth it. For $25 cash, we received a ticket to the game, an American Eagle hat, some pizza, and a lot of memories. The great thing about the Student Rush program is being able to connect with new people as well as re-connect with old friends. For example, Carolyn, Annie, and I all went to the same school up until eighth grade. I had not seen them since so it was awesome to catch up with them as well as meet two new people: Suzie and Jessica. The Student Rush program is a fantastic opportunity for students to attend Penguin games at an affordable price. No other NHL team does more for their fans than the Penguins do. The entire experience was amazing and I cannot wait to go again! Here are some pictures from the day:

This is what we saw when we first got to the Consol Energy Center. Students were taking advantage of the warm weather.

My friend Suzie holds a free pizza we got from Pizza Hut.

Everyone also got a free American Eagle hat, which was a $20 value. Pictured are: (from left) Suzie, Annie, Carolyn, Me, and Jessica.

Obviously, we got tickets to the game and this was our view. Not a bad seat in the house at the Consol Energy Center.

Annie was giving the entire line a show after dancing with Iceburg.

We all then had to get a picture with Iceburg!

Everything went perfectly as the night ended with a Penguins win.
