Gary Roberts To Join The PensNation Radio Show Tonight

We are proud to announce that former Penguins forward Gary Roberts will be a guest on The PensNation Radio Show tonight at 11:00 PM EST. Roberts, 46, played a chunk of two seasons with Pittsburgh (2006-07 and 2007-08) after he was acquired from the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenseman Noah Welch. He played over 1200 games in his NHL career and won a Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames in 1989. Roberts assisted the likes of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Marc-Andre Fleury, and Jordan Staal with each of the young stars’ first NHL postseason in 2007. Although the team was eliminated in the first round, the team went to the Stanley Cup Finals the following season in 2008. In 2009, Roberts played his final season in the NHL with the Tampa Bay Lightning. In 2011, he opened the Gary Roberts High Performance Centre in Ontario. Current NHL stars that work with Roberts include James Neal of the Penguins and Steven Stamkos of the Lightning. Since Roberts went through a few NHL lockouts during his career, he will bring an interesting perspective on the issue. A link to the show will be posted later tonight.  Stay tuned!
