The Penguins are hoping to win their second consecutive game to help them get closer to the Philadelphia Flyers. Although New Jersey is out of the playoff race, Zach Parise is back and will try to play spoiler. The game will be televised on Versus at 7:30.

This is a big game for both teams, but it is more important for the Buffalo Sabres. They are currently sitting in the final playoff spot with a three point edge over the Carolina Hurricanes. Tampa Bay is hoping to leapfrog the Penguins to possibly get home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

If the Washington Capitals win, they will clinch the South East division. Although that is very important, the Toronto Maple Leafs are on the brink of elimination. They will be eliminated from the playoff race if they lose. However, even with a win, they will need a ton of help to make the playoffs.

Since this is a Pittsburgh Penguins blog, any game that involves the Philadelphia Flyers is important with the tight division race. With a three point lead on the Penguins, the Flyers will look to increase or maintain that lead if Pittsburgh defeats New Jersey.
